About Us

The Good Deed Corps believes that a nation is made stronger when more of its citizens participate in the civic process. We encourage and inspire citizens in overlooked and under-resourced communities to register to vote, vote, and encourage their friends and family to do the same. To accomplish this, we bring food, fun and passionate, knowledgeable volunteers to meet would-be voters where they are and engage them in relaxed nonpartisan conversations. Our pilot programs in Atlanta, Savannah, and rural Georgia helped turnout a record number of voters in the U.S. Senate runoffs in Georgia 2020. We have now brought the same energy, dedication, and resources to Texas’ Rio Grande Valley (a State 47th is the nation in voter participation) to help set new records of voter turnout and engagement to empower this overlooked and under resourced area for the long-term.

The Good Deed Corps (GDC) is a 501c3 nonpartisan, nonprofit dedicated to building a strong, engaged civil society that embodies a diversity of voice and perspective. The GDC is currently focused on its Texas Turnout Campaign, which encourages and inspires youth in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley to engage in the civic act of voting. Through coalition building, creating culturally relevant campaigns led by members of the community, encouraging out-of-the-box strategies, and providing critical voter education resources and voter protection, the GDC inspires and encourages young people to participate in voting while removing every obstacle between a young eligible voter and the ballot box.
